How Long Does Pot Last in My System after I quit Smoking Weed

Posted by admin on November 24, 2007

I wanted to know exactly how long it will be before I am ‘clean’ of marijuana after quitting. This means not just using, but also, having no traces of it in my body.

I discovered that every individual is different. Marijuana can stay in a persons system anywhere from 3 to 90 days!

Factors include:

  • body weight
  • metabolism
  • fluid intake
  • amount of consumption or exposure

The THC in marijuana is fat soluble, so the more you smoke, the longer it can take to flush it out completely. That being said, I will be be closer to the 90 day range due to the amount and length of time I have smoked. One day at a time, I will get clean!

I dont think that this is as important as getting somewhere to talk about how you are feeling - regarless of how much thc is in your system.

I also think that a day at a time might be a bit ambitious. Maybe try a minute at at time.

Hahah Very true Anne, I have a long way to go, and am only about 10 days in this process. My ability to vent feelings on this blog has been a huge help
